Reinova / WooCommerce Client Work
E-commerce sites for Algerian Instagram sellers with COD workflows and local payment gateway integration.
Problem
Algerian Instagram-based sellers needed proper e-commerce storefronts to replace manual DM-based ordering. The stores had to support Cash on Delivery (COD) workflows — the dominant payment method in Algeria — while also integrating Chargily Pay, a local payment gateway, for the small percentage of customers willing to pay online.
What I Built
Multiple WooCommerce-based e-commerce sites using the Astra theme with Starter Templates for rapid deployment. Each site was configured for the specific seller’s product catalog with:
- COD as the primary checkout method
- Chargily Pay integration for online payments
- Product catalog management optimized for sellers who primarily use Instagram for marketing
- Mobile-first design since the majority of customers browse from phones
Stack
- CMS: WordPress
- E-commerce: WooCommerce
- Theme: Astra with Starter Templates
- Payment: Chargily Pay (Algerian payment gateway), Cash on Delivery
What I Learned
- Building for a market where COD is dominant changes the entire checkout UX — order confirmation and delivery tracking become more important than payment processing.
- Chargily Pay’s API documentation was minimal, requiring direct testing to understand error handling and webhook behavior.
- Instagram sellers need extremely simple product management interfaces since they manage inventory from their phones.
Outcome
Functional e-commerce storefronts that replaced manual DM ordering workflows. Sellers could manage products, track COD orders, and accept occasional online payments through a single dashboard.
